RULES FOR BORROWING BOOKS
Loans from the Library Collections
Requests and reservations must be placed electronically via the online catalogue.
Eligibility for borrowing:
a) AMU academic staff (including retired staff), doctoral candidates, librarians (including retired staff), and administrative and technical staff (including retired staff):
Materials published from 1946 onwards
Standard loan: 150 / 365 days
b) AMU students:
Materials published from 1946 onwards
Standard loan: 60 / 90 days
c) Non-salaried AMU staff, AMU grant holders, and external doctoral candidates:
Materials published from 1946 onwards
Loan upon recommendation: 5 / 30 days
d) External users:
Materials published from 1946 onwards
Standard or deposit loan: 5 / 30 days
Renewals
Renewals may be made via the online catalogue or in person at the library service desk, subject to the following:
Standard loans:
AMU staff, doctoral candidates, librarians, and administrative/technical staff (including retired staff): renewable for up to 360 days from the date of renewal
AMU students: renewable for up to 60 days from the date of renewal
Deposit loans and loans upon recommendation: not renewable
Overdue items
All materials must be returned on or before the due date. Fines are charged per day, per item, in accordance with the Schedule of Fees of the AMU Library and Information System.
Schedule of Fees (gross):
Registration/update of a library account (per academic year): PLN 12.00
Duplicate library card: PLN 12.00
Guest Card for persons outside the Poznań academic community (valid for six months): free of charge
Deposit loan: minimum deposit PLN 50.00
Overdue fine (per day, per item): PLN 0.30
Replacement of lost or damaged materials: in accordance with the Regulations on the Use of the AMU Library and Information System
Reading Room Access
All users with a valid library card or Guest Card are entitled to use the reading room collections.
On entry, readers must present to the duty librarian their mLegitymacja, Electronic Student Identity Card, or Electronic Doctoral Student Identity Card, and deposit a valid Reader Card or Guest Card. In the case of a Reader Card or Guest Card, an additional photographic proof of identity is required. Any personal books brought in must be declared.
Reading room materials are available on open access, from the stacks on request, or via interlibrary loan.
Reserved items may be held for readers on request. Reference materials in the reading rooms are not subject to reservation.
